This "A-Z" on Muhammad, peace be upon him, deals with well established facts about Muhammad, peace be upon him, but certainly does not include everything there is to know about Muhammad, peace be upon him. Volumes and encyclopedias and even libraries have been dedicated to presenting the picture of this great man.
The best words in their best order in any language cannot adequately depict the way God's Messenger (peace be upon him) looked at the dirham and dinar, wealth and property, and the world and all that it stands for. Indeed, even the disciples who had served their time at the feet of the Prophet's companions (may Allah be pleased with them) or the disciples of such disciples never regarded fortunes and treasures fit enough for the dusthole.
Bleeding from head to toe, battered and exhausted, he was faced with a choice. Should he or shouldn't he seek to destroy the people who had just humiliated him by having their children chase him out of town while throwing stones at him?
One in every five persons on this earth firmly believes that the Prophet Muhammad is the last Messenger of God. He was a Muslim and there are more than 1.3 billion such Muslims today
One of the notables of Makkah, Abdul-Muttalib, has ordered all the women and children to go up into the mountains and take refuge there whilst the men go and fight. However, the men of Makkah are of no match to the deadly Abysinnian lancers who soon crush their resistance on the borders of the city.
For thirteen years in his birthplace of Makkah, the Prophet Muhammad called people to the worship of the One True God, to do good and renounce all that was false. But the powers with interests to protect remained implacably hostile and made life intolerable for those who had submitted to the truth.
Those who follow the Apostle, the unlettered Prophet, Whom they find mentioned in their own Scriptures, in the Torah and the Gospel... (Holy Qu'ran: VII - 157; Translation: Yusif Ali)
This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them. Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them
‘Indeed Allah looked into the hearts of the servants and found the heart of the heart of the Muhammad, Peace be upon him, to be the best of the hearts of His servants and so He chose him for himself and sent him as a messenger......
History has not recorded the detailed life of any person in the same way as it has done in the case of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This is due to the fact that his practices, particularly in matters of religion, provide an example that we are urged by God to follow. The encouragement applies even in ordinary matters where no religious edict is needed and where people are free to choose whatever method they wish. In such matters, following the Prophet’s example earns us a reward.
Some people try to impart to those around them an expression of their position or an air of superiority by the way they behave or by the postures they take. Appearances count for much in social relations, practically in all societies. The Prophet (peace be upon him), however, was keen to give an air of friendliness to all people. Therefore, he behaved naturally, doing what other people do without affecting any air of superiority. On the contrary, he was keen to impart by his postures that he was not different from others, and that he viewed all people as equal.
